Saturday the 3rd of July was the date set for Elaines’ Wedding in Egton near Whitby. She had booked Country Hog Roast to provide catering for the event citing receiving a recommendation, which is always nice to hear.
The date was originally booked in 2020 but had to be re-arranged due to the government restrictions put in place.
The hog was booked to be served at 7pm with the team arriving on site at 11am. It was soon clear how much effort had been put into the event with separate tents/marquees erected to make sure social distancing rules were adhered to. A great selection of games and inflatables were in place for the younger guests.
The hog roast was served almost immediately as the clock struck 7 and the guests absolutely loved the hog. The hog was extremely tender, just falling from the bone. The vegetarian and vegan guests were not left out with a really nice BBQ Jackfruit cooked with onions and wild garlic was served onto Brioche rolls. Around 9pm service was complete and John & Steve said their good byes. A really lovely event to have covered in Egton, near Whitby.
