A super hog roast greeted guests of Simon & Angelas wedding at their chosen venue in Skipton. The numbers were 30 guests as restrictions are slowly eased.
We arrived on site at 6am to prepare the hog roast. The hog was scored perfectly and rubbed with our special crackling rub. It’s a very subtle rub that we have perfected over the 12 years but makes a massive difference to the taste and crunch of the crackling.
A mixed bunch of herbs were then placed inside the hog and the burners were lit!
4pm, some 10 hours after arrival the hog is lifted from the oven for all to see. The crowd gathered with intrigue and service was started. It was fantastic to talk to the guests and listen to the tales they had to tell through service. We got the impression people have definitely missed socialising over the last year!
Even with the extra social element service was pretty fast at just over 30 minutes. Our clean down then begins and at 5pm we bid the newlyweds and their guests farewell as we leave to our next event. Onto Harrogate for a 10pm serve!
